HEMP BUTTER
Hemp Seed Butter is produced from the seed oil of this incredibly useful plant. Like the oil, it is very rich in essential fatty acids and offers one of the best overall nutritional oil profiles. Essential fatty acids are known to aid cell regeneration and can help to prevent loss of moisture across cell membranes and thus inhibit dehydration. This property makes Hemp Butter a particularly valuable addition to cosmetic tissue repair preparations for dehydrated or tired skin. It is very moisturizing and has a wonderfully creamy texture that adds a lush smoothness to skin care preparations.

Making your own cosmetics, lotions and creams is not just great fun, but also allows you to choose exactly what you want to put on your skin. Thus you can leave out the preservatives, which are a standard addition to all ready-made cosmetics. Keep in mind though, that preparations without preservatives won't keep as long. For best results make small batches, use darkened bottles and store them in a cool, dark place.
