Tinctures are alcoholic extracts of herbs. The alcohol content preserves the
liquid and adds an antiseptic effect. Our tinctures are prepared to different
strengths with naturally fermented ethanol. The specified strength for each
tincture indicates the relative amount of herb in relation to the alcohol
content.The percentage quote refers to the strength of the alcohol used.
Thus, a 1:5 - 25% strength tincture is prepared by using 1 part of plant
material to 5 parts of 25% alcohol.
